Great Improvements
SnippetsLab continues to get major improvements; the developer is doing a great job maintaining it. The ability to control the line-height and other code editing styles makes it much more user-friendly. I also really like the ability to apply a default syntax to a folder; not sure if this is a new feature but it works great.
The next feature Im hoping to see is an expanded section for notes. Currently the space for notes is very small; I almost always have to put my notes about a snippet at the top in a comment block. Other than this, the app is getting pretty close to excellent. Another helpful feature would be a field for recording the source of the snippet, such as a URL or book title.
PREVIOUS REVIEW:
SnippetsLab is promising and may end up being the best snippet manager on the market. Right now though, Ive stopped using it because the interface feels so cramped. The line height in the code section is extremely tight and the notes section is so small that its basically unusable. Typing code is also an issue because it lacks basic features like adding a closing bracket when you type an open bracket, and aligning/indenting a new line when you hit enter. The developers are doing a pretty good job of adding new features though, so hopefully the UI issues will be worked out.
